"I'm running to bring fresh leadership to the Dutchess County Legislature for Fishkill"

Mike is running for the Dutchess County Legislature to fight for affordability, responsible growth, cut wasteful county spending, and advocate for working families.

He believes local government should put Fishkill residents ahead of well connected developers and corporate interests and protect the quality of life that makes the Hudson Valley special.

Since moving to the Hudson Valley, Mike has become an active voice on local issues impacting Fishkill and surrounding communities.

He helped lead the successful effort to pass Good Cause Eviction in Fishkill, the first town in New York State to do so, which was approved unanimously on a bipartisan basis.

More recently he has been speaking out against the proposed mega AI data center in East Fishkill.

Mike serves on the Stewart Air National Guard Restoration Advisory Board, where he is working to clean up PFAS forever chemicals that contaminated the drinking water supplies of Newburgh and New Windsor.

Mike and his wife live in Fishkill and chose to make the Hudson Valley their home because of its strong communities, beauty of the Hudson Highlands, and small town character.

Mike currently serves as Senior Director of Programs and Strategy at Toxic-Free Future, a national environmental health research and advocacy organization where he leads national campaigns to protect the health of American families from cancer-causing chemicals. He previously worked at the Center for Health, Environment & Justice and Citizens’ Environmental Coalition, and holds a degree in Environmental Studies from SUNY Buffalo.

For more than 25 years, Mike has fought to protect working people, safeguard clean water, and hold powerful corporations accountable.

He has led national campaigns to phase out toxic PFAS forever chemicals from consumer products and packaging, helping drive safer policies at tens of thousands of stores across the country, including right here in Fishkill.
